Onto Kubernetes - Part 5

I really liked the Bitnami’s Helm charts and Docker images repositories, at least until they decided to make their images paid access only.

Technically the Helm charts still remain open, but as most Helm charts are tightly integrated with Bitnami-specific image integrations, they might as well be considered inaccessible.

My Kubernetes stack uses 10 Bitnami Helm charts, which means I will have to migrate to community-maintained charts and test them.

The cloud compute costs have also been creeping up due to the ease of deploying new services using helm.

It may be time to pause my Kubernetes experiment for now.
